Woot Woot!

Well, we finally got a new camera! Hopefully this one will last longer than the last 4 we have gone through. I picked it up yesterday and have gone a little photo crazy since I haven't been able to take them for so long. So, here's some pictures of the boys...
Tristan

Devan, and yes I know he's in a dirty onesie :(

Oh, how I love Tristan's big brown eyes!

Well, the boys room isn't finished yet, but it's getting there. I still need to find some curtains, rug, and hang a couple things on the wall, and touch up some paint. Here's what I have so far.

Now for a story...

Devan and Tristan are usually pretty good buds.

Devan's pretty good about sharing, but he has his favorite trains and sometimes has a hard time giving those up. Well, today, I gave Tristan one of his faves. Devan wasn't to thrilled about it. If you look past Tristan and my unfolded laundry in the picture, you'll see Devan throwing a fit in the background.

Now, you would think since he has about a million of these it would be o.k., but it was pretty traumatic for him. The drool adds to the affect.

Oh Devan, you are so much cuter when you smile! Now this is the reason why I like this age. Dev can be so upset one minute, but then I make a suggestion like jumping down the stairs like a frog and everything is magically better. And that's what he did. Up the stairs he goes...

...aaaand down like a frog.

Oh and yes, we keep it casual in our house. As you can tell from the pictures, onesies, p.j.s, diapers...

An Instant Classic

Ay, Caramba!

OK, my friend Michelle Ottley gave me this salsa recipe. It's so good, easy, and addicting, that it makes me want to say Ay, Caramba! It takes less than 5 minutes and is sooo much better than the tomato paste salsa you buy in the store. In fact, we like it as well as the salsa we used to make that took almost an hour to prepare. So without further ado, I give you the recipe...

1 large can diced tomatoes
1 regular size can petite diced tomatoes
1/4 cup cilantro, packed down
6 green onions
1 small can green chilies
garlic salt or powder to taste

Mix large can of tomatoes, cilantro, onions, chilies, and garlic with food processor or other fine mixer. Then add petite diced tomatoes.

Now on a totally different topic... What to do with Devan. He can be such a stinker sometimes. The other day, he was taking a nap so I went downstairs to do some work. Well, I usually put my laptop away, but I thought it would be fine since he was napping. About a half hour later I heard him so I went upstairs and found Devan pulling the keys off my laptop! He had pulled off well over 10 of them. To top it off he had pushed the screen all the way back and it was black. I thought it was ruined for sure. I was so mad I was shaking. Luckily it wasn't broke, but it took me forever to get the keys back on. I couldn't even take a picture because we still haven't replaced the camera he broke!

Any suggestions...

I've been painting the boys room to a design similar to this...

I taped off the walls and started painting the horizontal stripes. Because my walls are textured, some of the paint leaks through the tape and makes it so the lines aren't very clean. Any suggestions on what I can do? I'm a newbie at this.
