I just need to vent for a minute...
I went grocery shopping today with the boys. Well, when I went to pay it seemed a little high, but the boys were being crazy so I just took my receipt and thought I'd check it in the car. I got the boys and myself back in the car and started looking over the receipt (which was badly printed so it took forever to figure it out), but after awhile I noticed I had been charged for twice as many cans of soup as I had bought. So I just figured that was the only problem and went back in to change it. It took forever to adjust, and Devan was screaming because I wouldn't by him candy so needless to say I rushed out as soon as she was done adjusting it. Well, I got home and I thought, you know I should look over it one more time....
She had over charged me $16.00!!! I'm so annoyed. It's such a waste of time to go back that I almost want to forget about it. What would you do?
Oh and for those of you with kids, you KNOW what a pain it is taking them in and out of carseats, AND how awful grocery shopping is when your kids are acting up. That's why I'm dreading going back!

Blessed
Happy Father's Day Chad! I am so blessed to have you. Not only are you ridicously good-looking, but you are the best husband and best Daddy anyone could ask for. You work so hard to provide for us and I know you would do whatever it takes to ensure our comfort and happiness. Our boys absolutely adore you. Every morning when Devan wakes up he says, "Have you seen daddy anywhere?" I love the way their eyes light up when they hear the car pull into the drive. Tristan ALWAYS immediately stops what he's doing to meet you at the door with a hug. They both love you so much. Thanks for everything, you're the absolute best!

okay, this time it's for real
A couple days ago I was really excited because I thought we were going to get a second car, well, it ended up not being what wanted so we came home a little dissapointed. Well, Saturday I went on another search and finally found a second car. We have been way excited because the past 5 years we've been married, we've always shared a car. So it's a little bit older, it's a 2003 expedition, but it only has 41,000 miles!! It belonged to an old couple who kept it in excellent condition. Oh, and I love that it is the Eddie Bauer edition so it comes with all the little extras. We got a great deal on it too. I think the people at the dealership were almost ready to kick me out after all my bargaining.
Devan has LOVED it. The first night we had it he kept asking to go in the garage so he could look at it and sit in it. When he'd see it he'd go, "oooo...it's really big. Let's go on a ride. He was really cute about it.
(If it comes with the cute boy, I'll take it ;-) )

Best Friends
If you ask Devan who his best friend is he'll reply, "Tristans best friend" every time. Yesterday while driving in the car I heard Tristan giggle so I glanced back in the rearview mirror to see what was going on. They were holding hands across the car, and grinning at eachother. I really wish I had a picture to show because I can't describe the sweetness of it. I've caught them doing this a few times, and I just love it. I'm really happy to know they'll both have a best friend forever.

Guess I'll go eat worms...
Remember that song? Well, bugs is more suitable for our situation. We were at the park the other day and we found some of those bugs that roll up when you touch them. The boys thought that was really cool. Devan kept harrassing them by poking them with his shoe lace. Tristan was more brave though and would just pick them right up! Then he tried to eat one!! I had to knock it out of his hand. He was so mad at me for not letting him. He picked one up again and yet again tried to eat it, so of course I knocked it out of his hand. He was even more mad this time and started grunting and whining to me, haha, silly boy

Brownie Points
Two people won Brownie Points with me today...
#1 Devan-- I actually had a rough start with him today, but it ended up all worth it. We went out running errands and he had missed his nap so he was kind of in a rotten mood. He had a complete melt down at old navy, and the post office was a nightmare. I called Chad afterwards and told him, I would rather go through labor again than take both the boys to the post office with me again. However, after the post office we went to Target. Inside the Target is a Starbucks and we were in desperate need of something to quench our thirst (dang this San Antonio weather). Anyway, while we were waiting for our drinks Devan leaned over to me from the cart, gave me a big ole' bear hug and said, "I love you soooo much mommy." Not to mention, in the absolute sweetest voice I've ever heard. I just melted.
#2 Boy from my cubscout pack-- This was just one of those little things that help your evening go better. I went to scouts tonight looking pretty crazy. I didn't have makeup on and my hair was in a scraggly ponytail (well, some of it was, most of it had fallen out by this point) Anyway, one of the scouts walked in and goes, you did something different with your hair huh. I was like well, I didn't really do anything with my hair. And he goes, oh, Well, it looks very nice. Yep, he earned an extra treat :-)
