Silly Devan

Age 2 has got to be one of the funnest and most frustrating ages. I have a couple stories about Devan.

Ever since we got back from our trip to the beach, Devan has constantly wanted to take baths and be in the water. I was talking on the phone with my sister Laura today, and he kept asking for a bath. "Baf Mommy? Baf". I kept telling him to wait, so he took matters in his own hands. A few minutes and a bottle of soap later, I found Devan sitting in the tiny 1/2 bathroom sink, running water, and pumping soap. He looked up at me and asked, "Baf?"

My first instinct was to be upset, after all he had gotten his clean clothes all wet. I then started thinking more logically and realized this would make a great blog! So I grabbed the camera instead. Besides, who can get mad at this? It was far to cute!

After that incident, I told him he could go get into a real bath. It must not have been as fun because he only lasted a total of about 2 minutes in there. I got him dressed again and we went back down stairs. I thought I better write this down while it's fresh in my memory. So I started a new blog post and yet again, I hear the bathroom water running again. And yes, you guessed it, there was Devan sitting in the sink taking another "Baf."

Oh gosh Lana! Haha I think he likes the feeling of being in the tiny sink :) I would have been wicked frustrated the second time around.

I really enjoyed your beach pictures. What a great way to spend the 4th! I don't blame Devan for wanting to be in the water. I wish we lived closer to the ocean. Do you guys have SixFlags season passes and parking? Before it started raining, Emma and I were going a couple times a week. They have a wave pool in the water park that is kinda? like the ocean. We usually go between 2-3 in the afternoon if you ever want to join us. I won't go if there are thunderstorms in the forecast though, b/c they shut the whole water park down! You can imagine the tantrums. Anyway, let me know if you ever want to go!

Whoops...i didn't realize I was logged in as Emmanuel - it was me with the deleted comment :-)

HAHAHA! That's why you're such an awesome mom, Lana! Rather than freaking out and getting so mad (which I probably would've done), you just found the humor in it! It killed me that he did it in the first place, but the SECOND time!! Too funny!

Your boys are soo good looking. It's funny because I was just thinking of you. My grandpa died a little over two years ago and Rod Bennett's dad was the funeral home guy helping our family. He was like, "give Rod a call, he feels like life is passing him by. It sure hit him hard when that cute Lana girl got married. He sure missed the boat on that one." Well, I was in I.F. this past weekend and saw some chubby punk kid that looked just like Rod. I kept staring at him, which was unfortunate because it wasn't him, but then I thought of that story. Hopefully I haven't told you it already. Anyways, you look just as cute as ever, and your husband is soo lucky to have jumped on that boat!
