Birthday Party 2011

I've combined the boys birthday parties every year, 2009 was Thomas the tank engine, 2010 was pirates, and this year was a medieval knight theme. We had it at a park this year and it was a lot of fun. Iwalani and Bruce were able to be here as well which made it pretty special for the boys ( the extra help was awesome too!)

The kids went on a knights quest.

First they found a horse and trained it (They made stick horses and rode them around the track)

Next they had a jousting tournament ( I had balloon targets with faces on them that they jabbed with pool noodles

After that they defeated the Giant (Bruce was a good sport and took on the part of the giant, the kids threw balloon boulders at him and fought him with their pool noodles)

And last their last step in the quest was to slay the dragon. (I had a dragon pinata for this)
Their reward for the quest was the dragon's treasure.

After that the kids had lunchables and we sang and had birthday cake. The boys got alot of fun new gifts as well.

I was pretty happy how everything turned out. The weather was beautiful, all the parents were super helpful, and best of all the boys (and hopefully all the other kids had a great time!)

Your boys have gotten so be! I can't believe how long it's been. I made the same sort of cake for Audrey's birthday last year, but it was pink. I love the knights theme. You are so creative.
