Home alone

Chad had some training in Vegas last week so I was home alone with the boys for a week. I was a little nervous about how it would be for a whole week without Chad's help, but we ended up doing pretty good. Wednesday we had a St. Patty's day picnic in the park with some friends from church. Everyone brought a green food to share, which ends up being a good color for food because everything was healthy and yummy! The park was super busy though because it was spring break as well, but it was still fun.
(this wasn't from the park, but I thought it was pretty darn cute)

Friday we went to the zoo which was packed!! We had to park at least a quarter mile away. The boys decided they wanted to go on the train ride which goes around the park, and I'm glad we did because it was really nice and relaxing, after that the boys found a big tree stump in the park that they would climb up and slide down. When we got home and pulled into the driveway Devan convinced me to take him out to eat. I gave in and I'm glad I did because it was a lot of fun. I found out while we were there that Tristan takes after his mommy in his love for lemons, hehe.

Chad got home at midnight on Friday, and it's been great to have him home. Saturday I had a baby shower and made these yummy desserts for it. I'd never made lemon curd before, but I love it in the mini tart shells. The other ones are marbled brownies, truffles, and mini cheesecakes. YUM!

you are such a good mom! Way to go on doing it for a week on your own, that is no easy task! Such a trooper!

You're such a great mom! Blake has to train in Japan for a month later this summer...I'm nervous I hope we all are okay without him, a week is a long time to me to be without daddy in the house!

Your treats look so delicious! I hate when my husband leaves, more because I miss him then the help he gives with the kids. It was some good mommy time, though, and you're an awesome mom to take them to such cool places.
