South Korea's got Seoul :-)

Jess takes off for Seoul today! He is such an awesome brother and I know he's going to do great on his mission. He is honestly one of the hardest working people I know and he is so easy to get along with. I'm pretty proud of my little bro! I have to admit, I was pretty sad today thinking of him being so far away, but happy for him as well.

Other things going on here in our little part of the world...
Devan made it through a whole Sacrament meeting!!! In the past we've had to take him out a number of times because he would misbehave, but he did so good this last Sunday. It may sound like a small thing, but it's a BIG thing to me to not have to be so uptight the whole meeting. The only time he left was because he had to go potty :)

And speaking of going potty...
Devan is doing so good with his potty training. There was a time when I thought he would NEVER be potty trained, but he is doing amazing now. He wears underwear all day, with the exception if we're are going to be out for a long time (I'd rather not have accidents in the middle of a store, been there done that!) And of course there is still the night, when he's sleeping, which I'm not even making an attempt on for now.

And then there's Tristan...
He's grown up so fast lately. I love this little cuddlebug. I'm kind of biased cuz I'm his mom, but I just think he is one of the handsomest babies ever. We've been jogging to the park about every day since the weather's so nice and he's gotten the best tan with his olive skin. He's much darker than me! He likes to be a big boy and lift the heaviest things he can and move them around. He also likes to do whatever the big kids are doing and is pretty fearless. He climbed the ladder all by himself up to the clubhouse at the park!

I've really loved our routine with the park lately...
Almost every day we pack our lunch and my camera, load the kids up into the jogging stroller, go on a jog, ending at the park, eat our lunch, and play. It's so much fun. The boys love it and Devan won't let me get away with not doing my exercizes anymore because he wants to go to the park. He'll say, "Mom, lets go on a little jog :)" So we go and the boys completely wear themselves out and take a huge nap when we get home. I LOVE IT!

If only...

If only my house was always this peaceful...

I'm finally getting around to posting this.

I've been a little unmotivated to post lately because it takes for stinkin' ever to upload pictures on my blog, anyone else have this problem? So, I'm a little late on this one.

I've had enough birthday cake in the last 2 weeks to last the rest of the year! First there was Devan's birthday, then we celebrated Iwalani's, and on Saturday we had a party for Devan and Tristan.

Friday Iwalani and Bruce came in from Washington. To bad they couldn't escape the Seattle weather though. Out of all times to come it was the 3 days of cold and rain this month. It was so nice to have family here. Iwalani's birthday was last month, but we wanted to celebrate with her so we had some cake and blew out candles. It was actually Tristan's birthday too, but we didn't do much because we had his party the following day.

The boys party was a ton of the fun. I did a train theme and set up different stations throughout the house. The kids wore conductor hats and followed the train schedule to each train station. The first station was a art show where they made their own unique piece of art. The second was the game room where they played pin the nose on Thomas. From there they went to the fishing hole, and got tattoos at the sticker and tattoo parlor, and finally went to station 5, the bakery, where they decorated their own train cakes with frosting and candy. After that they were spoiled by loads of gifts, thanks everyone! The boys loved everything. I was so lucky to have Iwalani and Bruce here helping with everything, it made things go really smooth.

That night we went out to our favorite burger place, Bobby J's, home to the lb. burger!!! Sunday, Iwalani, myself, and devan went to church. The big boys had a case of the Sunday morning sickies, you know the sickness that starts around 10 and ends roughly around 2 when church gets out... o.k. I'm just giving them a hard time they were both sick, sorry guys. For an early dinner late lunch we went to Ohana's (If a late breakfast is called brunch, Is that called Dunch, Sunch, Lupper, or Linner? hmmm....) It was delicious like always.

Sadly, Monday came way to soon. Chd and I took a shot at tempting Iwalani and Bruce to move to San Antonio by looking at some model homes at the subdivision across from ours. They were beautiful and now Chad and I are hoping to one day move over that way! After we checked those out it was time for them to take off so we said our goodbyes. It was sad to see them go. The boys had a blast with all of the extra attention. Thanks for the nice visit Iwalani and Bruce!

I'm glad I didn't frost Tristan's cake, he would have been a mess! (I know, I'm no fun)

Happy Birthday Iwalani!

Take a chill pill.

So I was going to Whole Foods today with Devan and Tristan to buy some things to get ready for company that we have coming. I was driving through the parking lot and saw a parking space right up front, which is always a good thing when you're hauling around two kids. I turn on my blinker and go to park when I hear "hoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooonk". Apparently a lady who was at a stop sign perpedicular to the spot thought it had her name written on it. Not only was she honking at me be she was throwing her arms in the air, mouthing obscenities, and acting only like a maniac would...over a parking space!!?? I could maybe see her frustration if it was a full lot and it was hard to find a spot, but there were spaces ALL over the place. Seeing that this was very important to her, I moved out and parked about a whole 10 feet away. It wasn't a big deal to me to walk a tiny bit further. So I get the kids out, go in the store, and there she is. It wasn't hard to spot her out because she still had the nasty look on her face that she had just moments before. Feeling a bit cheeky, I thought I'd confront her. I looked at her until she couldn't avoid my stare anymore and she finally made eye contact with me. I said, "Excuse me, but there was no need to be so rude back there." I think she was a bit shocked I confronted her on it because her response was, "Well, uh, ummmm, well I..." Anyway, that's about as exciting as my life got today.

Thanks!

Thank you everyone who voted for Tristan in the "Horsing around" photo contest. He ended up winning 2nd place and a $100 gift certificate at http://www.arockinghorsetolove.com/, which by the way, is an awesome site. They have the cutest rocking toys. They don't charge shipping and handling on orders over $60 and I wasn't charged tax either. We recieved our order yesterday and the quality is great! Here's what we got.

And I only had to pay $20 out of pocket! Devan LOVES the art easel. I haven't put the activity cube together yet, but I'm sure Tristan will love it too. If you are into contests and giveaways you should really check out www.5minutesformom.com. That's where this contest was held. They have alot of fun things going on there, so go check it out!

Latest Happenings

We had a fun day with Grandma and Grandpa Jones yesterday. It was so much fun having some family come visit from Idaho. After the boys showed off their latest toys and skills, we packed up and headed to the zoo. Devan was pretty crazy running around everywhere, but with Grandma and Grandpa's help we didn't loose him. Tristan was an angel the whole day and made things super easy. After the zoo we went out to dinner at La Madelines and it was yummy like always. You can never go wrong with their tomato basil soup :) By the time we got back home it was late and the boys were exhausted so we visited for just a little while and then said our goodbyes. Thanks for the fun visit grandma and grandpa. I hope you can come again

(This picture was just too funny of both the boys. By the look on their faces, I'm guessing Devan stole Tristan's ride on tractor.)

Brand Spankin' New Ford F-150

Yep, you heard me right. Devan got a Ford F-150 power wheels for his birthday. He absolutely loves it. He would be outside driving it 24/7 if I would let him. He still needs to get the steering down a bit better (he runs into the house, fence, and trees alot!) It's fun to see him enjoying it so much though.

I can't believe he's 3 already. It doesn't seem like very long ago Chad and I were living in our tiny little apartment in Rexburg, waiting for this sweet boy to be a part of our lives. He seriously makes me happy every day. He has a very sweet spirit about him. Chad has been sick and today he said... Dad, are you ok? What's wrong? Do you need to go to the Doctor? He's very loving and caring like that.

I felt bad we weren't able to do more on his birthday. Chad was deathly ill and I had a scout banquet to get ready for in the morning and then had to go to that evening. Devan came along and had fun though. He's kind of mischevious and about turned out the lights in the gym in the middle of the meeting. Luckily I caught him right as he was about to! When we got home we lit the candles to his birthday cake and sang to him. He thought the candles were neat and had a fun time blowing them out.

So Devan, I hope you had a fun birthday. I'm sorry I wasn't able to do more for you. I love you more than you'll ever know and can't wait to celebrate many more with you!

Love you forever!
